Hi, I’m Sam — a mission-driven Product Designer, leader and systems thinker. A PNW native, I live in the woods just north of Seattle.

Currently leading AI-first design efforts at Microsoft for experiences such as Copilot Researcher and the M365 Companions, I'm a highly adaptable generalist who gets fired up by products that empower people to achieve their goals.

My experience spans enterprise giants, high-traffic consumer platforms, and fast-moving startups.

I’ve designed software used by millions at Microsoft and Zillow, shipped best-in-class 0-1 products at Axon, and worn many hats in the startup world. I’ve also specialized in architecting and scaling Design Systems—work near and dear to my heart—first at Zillow Group, then at Varo Bank, and most recently within Microsoft’s M365 Design Studio.
